A Complete Guide to Excel and SharePoint Integration - Evolvous

A Guide to Excel and SharePoint Integration

Microsoft Excel is one of the most used applications by businesses across the globe. Your team members might be working on Excel spreadsheets on their local systems or on the cloud, using the Microsoft 365 platform. But if you are using SharePoint as your document management system (DMS), you can integrate Excel with your SharePoint environment as well. This will significantly improve productivity and promote seamless information exchange. Let us look at some of the important things you should know about Excel and SharePoint Integration

The Advantages of Excel and SharePoint Integration

Excel and SharePoint integration can have several benefits for your team. Here are some of them:

  1. Centralized Data Management: By storing Excel files on SharePoint, you can make the most up-to-date version of the spreadsheet instantly accessible to the right team and individual employees.
  2. Gives You Better Control on Excel Sheets: Like other documents stored on SharePoint, you can set granular access, giving you closer control over who can view, access, or edit your Excel files.
  3. Ability to Automate Workflows: You can automate the repetitive tasks for your Excel sheet, like making entries based on CRM data, with the help of Microsoft Power Automate, allowing you to cut down on time and minimize errors.

SharePoint allows you to do a whole lot more. Read our article on the 11 Things You Can Do with SharePoint to know more about how the platform can help you boost productivity at your workplace.
