Building an ERP system leveraging Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint
History of KCR Limited
KCR Limited, one of the most promising building solutions companies, has four different offices from Birmingham to the north of Scotland. They have been diligently delivering contracts and projects in building maintenance to both large and small clients.
Key Challenges Faced by the Client
KCR Limited belongs to an industry that requires constant job management that involves collecting data from emails, project sites, and engineers, tracking work progress, and assessing project risks. They required a single platform that would perform the above.
Utilizing Power Apps and SharePoint to Solve Operational Challenges
Our team suggested and built an ERP system using Power Apps, SharePoint, and Forms to bring everything together under one parasol.
Benefits of Leveraging Power Apps
Leveraging Power Apps, KCR Limited can now effectively manage jobs and projects directly from the system for all four offices.
- Engineers can be notified about their respective assignments along with the project details.
- Once the engineer initiates their on-site journey, they can select “Start Travel,” or “Stop Travel” giving the project managers an insight into the time and distance in miles.
- The application also gives the engineer the benefit of choosing when they start working on the project and when they finish the project.
- Moreover, they can also upload project images, giving the project manager a complete summary of the project. And, if needed, they can also generate a PDF format report of the summary.
- Using Microsoft Forms, our team created an automated risk assessment form, eliminating the need for previously used manual forms.
- This system could also read and collect information and details from emails and save it in SharePoint as a backend database.
