Reporting made Easy with SharePoint and Power BI Case Study: NOVONIX Case study
NOVONIX is a developer and supplier of high-performance materials and technologies for the global lithium-ion battery industry, with operations in the USA and Canada. They are mainly into two businesses – NOVONIX Battery Technology Solutions (BTS), which provides the most accurate battery cell testing in the world and NOVONIX Anode Materials (NAM), which manufactures the world’s best graphite anode material for lithium-ion batteries and the only US supplier of graphite anode.
Novonix needed an effective internal communications solution and was looking for an intranet to facilitate document management and employee productivity. They also wanted different sites based on the solutions they provided and had asked for multiple themes that matched their corporate branding colours. Moreover, for reporting needs, they were intensively using manual methods for generating reports.
Our team at Evolvous planned and executed the brand-new intranet for NOVONIX with their desired custom branding. We provided them with five different colour themes – three themes that matched with the Green colour, one dark theme and another grey theme.
Following an analysis of the Customer’s requirements, their corporate landing page consisted of a monthly employee newsletter, recent press releases, policies, a Twitter feed, Upcoming events, leadership team details, a separate image gallery for the company and people, Quick links to the website, IT support desk, and compliance. Their solution sites consisted of details about the solution, health and safety details, leadership team, Power BI integration for rich dashboards and visualizations, integration with excel sheets for reporting, link to document library and image gallery.
With a brand-new intranet in place, the team at NOVONIX now experiences improved collaboration, a rich dashboard, and improved report capabilities. The look and feel of their intranet sites match their corporate theme and branding with the option for customizing the colors. Documentation is organized, and access to information is faster and easier. Intranet has increased their overall productivity as well as streamlined the processes. Dedicated department sites have broken down the departmental silos and have made knowledge management less confusing and more organized.
