Custom Intranet Development Case Study: Patek Philippe case study

Custom Intranet Development Case Study

Background and History

Patek Philippe is the last family-owned independent Genevan watch manufacturer. They have been operating without interruption since 1839 and have more than 80 patents.

The Problem

Their internal team had designed and implemented an intranet on SharePoint online but needed more finesse. They wanted to redesign their landing page with a professional look and feel with their custom branding. They were very particular about the brand colour as they are a global brand and wanted consistency.

Our Solution

The Customer approached Evolvous to create a professional intranet. Following an analysis of the Customer’s existing intranet, our team redesigned their intranet, which was built by their internal team. Following the Customer’s branding guidelines and design specifications, our team also incorporated custom branding that matched their branding; this included a custom header with search, navigation, and theme colour.

Our team also integrated their social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook, with the intranet, which showed live updates. The home page also had internal branding, announcements, some FAQs, weather details for all global locations, employee resources, quick links to payroll and benefits, important documents and news that would display both internal and external news.

We have created dedicated department sites with a similar page content pattern but only visible to the respective team.

The Impact

With a brand-new custom design for their intranet, the team at Patek Philippe had a rich and wholesome experience. Custom branding gave a consistent look and feel throughout the organization. Quick links made the information search easier and more organized. Company vision and mission statement, news and announcements, important documents, notifications, payroll and benefits, key employee highlights, new policies and procedures, events, training videos and links, Job openings, company images, and social media links are those major changes that our team had implemented. We ensured our client received a user-friendly, multifunctional experience that addressed all their major needs.
