Fibron is a major designer, manufacturer and global provider of subsea cable and umbilical systems. Their main focus is to design and implement umbilical and cable solutions from the surface to the seabed for the Oil & gas, ROV, Diving, and Seismic industries. They have some of the well-known names in their portfolio viz; BP, GE, Apache Corporation, McDermott International, Ltd, just to name a few.
The company was established as Fibron BX in 1986, but with the consequent acquisition, it was rebranded in 2019 as Fibron to be operated as a separate independent company.
Team Fibron were existing users of Microsoft’s Access for Quality Management and were intensively using manual methods for generating reports, sharing them on emails, tracking performing and non-performing departments, raising other internal tickets, reporting delivery complaints, and a lot more. They needed automated controls and governance to be put in place, but it was not possible with the traditional toolset at that time.
