The Process of Migrating from Google Forms to Microsoft Power Apps 

Now, no matter what process we decide to go ahead with, we follow a structured process for Google Forms to Microsoft Power Apps migration. Here is an overview of the process. 

STEP 1: Preparing Inventory & Exporting Data 

• We will start by identifying the Google Forms that need to be migrated.

• Then, we will build input forms using Power Apps controls, like text inputs, dropdowns, sliders and other such elements. 

• Next, we will build conditional visibility and validation logic. The objective here is to replicate Google branching. 

• Since security is always a priority, we will apply role-based access controls using Microsoft Entra ID 

STEP 4: Workflow Automation with Power Automate 

• Migrating from Google Forms to Power Apps also gives the opportunity to automate critical processes that save time and minimize errors as well.

• Now, we will test the new application. The team will validate the field mappings, data integrity, and UI behaviors. 

• We will also engage with your stakeholders to test all possible use cases. 

STEP 8: Deployment and Rollout 

• The team will package apps, flows, and data schema into Solutions in Power Platform 

• The app will be deployed across the organization using relevant Application Lifecycle Management practices
