By using Copilot in SharePoint, you can explore newer and smarter ways to categorize, tag, and secure your valuable documents. You can also create document templates automatically, ensuring content development at scale.

Copilot in SharePoint can also be used to translate files and ‘stream’ videos, in multiple languages. Within your SharePoint Premium environment, you can use Copilot for automating the following tasks:

  • Flagging files with PII (Personally Identifiable Information).
  • Filling columns with values from various data sources.
  • Classifying and labeling documents.
  • Removing sensitive information from documents as required by you.

 4. Ensure Better Security and Content Governance

Security was and remains to be one of the major concerns among SharePoint users across the world. However, managing security settings and access roles is considered by many to be a major challenge, especially by non-technical users.

With Copilot, things become much simpler. You can get AI-driven suggestions on security policies and settings. You can also get the suggestion to set user access roles.

 5. Tagging and Metadata

As said before, Copilot can help you tag your documents more effectively, enhancing their searchability. It can analyze the content of the file on its own, and then suggest relevant keywords and/or tags.

Copilot can also help you extract metadata from documents including author names, dates, or even project names, which makes it easier to categorize content.

If you are looking to implement custom metadata, then Copilot SharePoint can also suggest to you the right metadata to use and how you can include them in your SharePoint documents without any hassles.
